Monkey and Turtle

$390.00

Description

One day the monkey and turtle went for a walk when they came upon a banana tree bearing fruit. So the monkey said to the turtle, ‘turtle you wait here while I climb up and get some fruit for us to eat’. But as the monkey was climbing up, the owner of the banana tree came along and saw what they were doing and shot both of them. This work is based on a popular song among the people of the Torres Strait which is sung in pigeon language.
