Description
In this traditional story the artist depicts the life force of the emu. The tracks of the female and male bird come together in the circle of life. The eggs in the circle represent the new life. The semi-circle shapes and dots surrounding the eggs is the camouflage against predators. The tracks leading away from the nest indicates that once the female lays the eggs it is the male’s responsibility to hatch them. The baby emus surround their father as he hunts and protects them until they are old enough to fend for themselves.
