Roslyn Kemp

The artist was born in 1950 at Cherbourg Aboriginal Community in Far North Queensland. Roslyn began painting as a twelve year old. She is now a high profile Aboriginal artist who has exhibited in USA, several European countries and throughout Australia.
Roslyn has travelled extensively, not only as an exhibiting artist but also as a spokesperson on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture. She has presented papers to conferences in Manchester, Amsterdam and to the United Nations. In addition to printmaking Roslyn works on canvas using yellow stringy bark, acrylic and ochre paints.
