Description

Thagay is a warrior constellation that appears to the Nagai Dagam (North) with a long spear that brings the first rain, indicating the start of the wet season. At the end of the dry season (Naigai), the spear rain (Dagul Ari) falls when Thagay’s spears touches the ground. The rain tells the islanders to start planting their gardens, getting ready for harvest at the end of the wet season (Kek) in April the following year.
