This is an artist’s proof of a print that was editioned in 1991. It is an example of the artist’s earlier work and as such it is eminently collectable.
These are some of the totems of the tribes of the Torres Strait Islands – fish, bird and turtle. At the bottom of the print spirit dancers, travelling on crocodiles are depicted. Above the spirit dancers you can see their totems. The patterning or Minaral is associated with the marine environment.
