Description
Madhub is an Effigy used by the Torres Strait Islanders for many purposes, it is part of the social structure. This print depicts a Madhub wedged into the seabed of a special hunting ground to bring prosperity and protection from evil spells. It contains and sends a charm of magic force through the soil and water attracting seafood for the hunters on their daily expeditions.
