Description

The colours, red, yellow and orange are symbolic to the artist’s Meriam tribe. They symbolise Kebi Perper (small lightning) which is often seen above Kerged (Easy Cay) sandbar

As this minor strike of lightning occurs these three colours are seen in Auka Baz (large black cloud formation). The shape of this cloud depicts Beizam (shark) and Pim (fin).

When this is witnessed it tells Miriam people the Koki (North West Wind) is coming.

Koki is preceded by Keken Koki or Kerker Koki which is an indication that the Monsoon Season is approaching
