This print represents the traditional dancing techniques that Torres Strait Islanders use to foretell their seasonal and mythical stories. Torres Strait islanders are famous for their dancing and singing. Each island has their own style of dancing, which they usually display to visitors during many ceremonies such as Tombstone Opening and Wedding ceremony. In dancing, the Islanders use many different instruments for different dances such as Kulap rattlers, drums, bamboo clappers, bows, arrows, headdresses (Dhari) and mask, which symbolizes different cultural characteristics. During an event, the whole community always cook up a big feast for the visitor that consist of turtle, dugong, rice and vegetables which are caught and harvested during certain seasons depending on the position of the Zugubau Thithui (Seven Stars).
