Description
The first time the artist went to Darwin was when he was a young man. The ‘Big City’ filled him full of foreboding having been told of its dangers, especially alcohol and drugs. The ride from Ramingining to Darwin took two days as the truck stopped often while the occupants hunted bush tucker with their rifles and spears and digging sticks. Andrew saw the truck as a creature flying him to the city on insect wings.
