Description
The painting I paint is about hunting. The people go out to get Bowakul (wild yams). They collect yams for the bungul (ceremony) about Banumbirr (Morning Star). The place that they get Bowakul (wild yams)are at BalayBalay.
This print is one of twelve in the ‘Origins’ portfolio published for the Olympic Arts Festival of the Sydney Organising Committee for the 2000 Olympic Games, that can now be purchased individually.
