The Australian continent is renowned for it’s unique and distinctive flora and fauna which developed in isolation over millions of years after the Australian land mass broke away from Asia.
In this print Jeanette has depicted some of Australia’s most famous native animals including the koala, kookaburra, possum, kangaroo and emu.
Many of these animals are central characters in Aboriginal creation stories called the ‘Dreamtime’, when they travelled across the empty continent shaping the environment, creating everything in it and laying down the laws of social and religious behavior.
