Kangaroo Dreaming was produced in the rememberance of the origin of life.
The spirit of the kangaroo is one of the many forces and powers which created the Australian landscape, along with other spiritual forces.
Today the spirit is kept alive through stories and totems of Aboriginal people from all over Australia. We share a responsibility for the health and future of all living creatures and the land for future generations. This print therefore signifies land, water and spirit – important aspects of Aboriginal life in Australia.
This print is one of twelve in the ‘Origins’ portfolio published for the Olympic Arts Festival of the Sydney Organising Committee for the 2000 Olympic Games, that can now be purchased individually.
