“Long ago in the Dreamtime, Pahm, the first man lived and hunted amongst the Puntil brolgas, pooroo black duck, kothon wallaby, puuy mud crab, ngat wqpur stingray, thaakutur blue tounge lizard, may mula yam and may wanch bush potato. One day he was showing off to some young hunters, throwing his werngir boomerang as high as he could. The first and second throws came back but on the third throw it went so high it stuck in the sky.
Today when you look up to the sky and see the new moon it’s the boomerang shape. We call it kapir. This is how the story was told”.
