Description
The artist’s paintings are characterised by long sensuous lines dramatically illustrating snakes, plants and birds. In this print she has illustrated birds foraging for food on lily plants in the Arafura Swamp. Clara most commonly paints the edible tuber, Manyigani and fresh water fish from the Arafura swamp lands. The water python and file snake are also primary totems and important subjects in her work.
