Most of my paintings are based on the culture and traditions of the Torres Strait, especially from my island home Mer (Murray Island).
Irmerira Baz shows a small cloud pulling itself out from the larger clouds pouring down showers of rain. This signals the beginning of the wet season.
This painting is one of a suite of three that are based on weather patterns. The other two are Ap Gegur and Totobem
