Graeme Davey

Graeme Davey is an exceptional art director, illustrator, film maker and artist.

In 1982 he won the coveted Gold AWARD (Australian Writers & Art Directors Association) for Triple J’s exploding Head 24 sheet poster. The win was a significant achievement as it was only the second time a Gold Award had been handed out since the inception of the AWARDs.

Davey art directed Jack McCoy’s seminal surfing movie, A Deeper Shade of Blue as well a working on many other surfing movies and videos.

He lives in Avalon on Sydney’s northern beaches, the area that witnessed the explosion of Australia’s surf culture.
